Soya Bean Salad

Soaked and cooked soya beans, in a spicy mixture

Type: Pregnancy Serving: 4 Cooking Time: 30 minutes after soaking the beans

Ingredients

  • Dried Soya beans : 1 cups (125 g) soaked overnight
  • Salt: 1 ½ tsp or to taste
  • Ginger, chopped fine: 1 tbsp
  • Kali Mirch (powdered black pepper) : ¼ tsp
  • Zeera (Cumin Seeds) : 1 tsp, roasted
  • Onions, chopped fine: ½  cup (100 g)
  • Green chillies, chopped fine: to taste
  • Lemon juice: 1 tbsp or to taste
  • Hara Dhania (Coriander leaves), : chopped,  for garnish
 

Preparation

  • 1. Drain the beans and cook till tender, but ‘bite like’ in fresh water, along with the salt and ginger. Drain and keep aside till cool.
  • 2. Mix all the ingredients except the leaves for garnish. Chill and transfer on to a serving bowl, garnish with dhania and serve.
