  • 3/4 kg palak (spinach), washed and chopped fine
  • 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 2-3 sabut lal mirch  (whole red peppers)
  • 1 tbsp thinly sliced ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp malai (clotted cream)


  • In a heavy based stainless steel

    Keeping the heat on high, add the chopped spinach, salt and sugar and mix well.

  • Continue to cook over high heat, till the palak is tender and the juices that were discarded have disappeared.

  • Serve hot garnished with the cream.
