Punjabi Channa Masala

A combination of spices blended and stored for ready use when making Chick peas the `Punjabi' way

Type: Condiments Serving: Good for 5 kg Chick Peas


  • 1/3 cup (50 g) powdered, dry mango (`Amchoor')
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) powdered, dry pomegranate seeds (`Anardana')
  • 1 cup (100 g ) garam masala
  • cup (50 g ) powdered coriander seeds (`Dhania')
  • 1/2 cup +2 tbsp (50 gms) chilli powder
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) powdered, dry ginger (`Sonth')
  • 1 3/4 cup (350 gms) salt


  • Mix well, all ingredients and store in an airtight jar.
  • Proportion to use: 4 tbsp to every 2 cups (360 gms.) of Chick Peas.
