Crunchy Folds

Crispy folds of bread, with a filling

Type: Snacks Serving: 6 Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • Bread, thin slices 6, edges cut off
  • Oil to pan fry
  • Lettuce or Cabbage leaves 6-8
  • Paneer, grated 1 cup
  • Spring onions, chopped fine cup
  • Khira or kakdi, finely chopped 2 tbsp
  • Grated carrots 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp or to taste
  • Bhuna pissa jeera tsp
  • Tooth picks to secure the folds
  • Garnish of choice
 

Preparation

  • Heat the oil. Brown the bread slices over high heat, on both sides. Bend in the centre while still hot and leave to cool.
  • Mix together the paneer, spring onions, gherkins and carrots.

  • To make up the folds, put a lettuce or cabbage leaf to line the folded bread and fill some paneer mixture into it. Pass a toothpick through the folded sandwich.

  • Garnish and serve.
