Khajur Ke Gud Ke kheer.

Ingredients

  • 4lit milk
  • 1cup Basmati Rice (large)
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 3/4 Date Jaggery (khajur ka Gud)
  • 5tbsp almonds
  • handful of raisins.
 

Preparation

  • Wash, Drain and soak rice in water.
  • Boil the milk in a large saucepan, and then lower the heat and simmer for about 1/2 hour, stirring to avoid scorching.

  • Add the washed rice and cook till the rice is cooked.

  • Add the sugar and cook till the consistency you want.

  • Take it off the heat and cool for 15-20 min.

  • Add Khajur ka Gud (date Jaggery).

  • Stir till dissolved. Serve it hot or cold.
