Waldorf Salad

Type: Pregnancy Serving: 4-6

Ingredients

  • Apples cored and diced     3 cups (350 g), approx.
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Sugar                               1 tbsp (15 g) or to taste
  • Salt 1 tsp or to taste
  • Celery, chopped fine             cup
  • Walnuts, coarsely chopped   50 g/ cup
  • Mayonnaise sauce               cup (60 g)
  • Cream                                 cup (120 g), whipped
  • A serving dish lined with salad greens
 

Preparation

  • Sprinkle the apples with sugar, lemon juice and salt. Mix in the celery and leave to chill.
  • Fold the mayonnaise into the whipped cream.

  • Mix the cream mixture gently into the apple mixture, add the walnuts and heap on to the prepared plate.

  • Garnish with some more walnuts or garnish of your choice and serve.
