Chana Masala (Maratha Style)

This is specialy for hot spicy food lovers

Ingredients

  • Boiled Chana 100 Gm
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • Onion paste 1 big size
  • ginger paste 1 tsp
  • garlic paste 1 tsp
  • black paper powder 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala 2 tsp
  • jeera (cumin seeds) 1 tsp
  • khus khus (poppy seeds) 1 tsp
  • salt 1 tsp
 

Preparation

  • *Mix the onion ginger & garlic paste black paper powder together
  • * Heat oil in broad pan and add jeera. When it splutters add the paste and fry till brown.

  • * Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder and garam masala and fry for 2/3 minutes.

  • * Add khus khus ( poppy seeds) and boild chana and fry for 1 minute

  • * Add 200 ml water and salt as per taste and heat for 4 minutes Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with puri or Jawar Roti.
