Amiya ka Panna (Raw mango drink)

Ingredients

  • Mangoes, raw 500 g
  • Sugar ½ cup (120 g)
  • Salt 2 tsp or to taste
  • Black Rock Salt, powdered 2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds, roasted and powdered 2 tsp
  • Mint leaves, chopped 2 tbsp
  • Water, chilled 3 cups
  • Coriander leaves and chopped mango for garnish
 

Preparation

  • Boil the mangoes
  • Peel and extract the pulp.

  • Squeeze the pulp out.

  • Put the pulp, sugar, salt, 1 cup water and rock salt, into a blender and blend smooth.

  • Mix in the coriander leaves and the rest of the water.

  • Place some ice cubes in the glass, pour the ‘panna’ over and serve garnished with coriander and chopped mango.
