I have a query related CHAAT MASALA recipe posted in NDTV FOOD website.

Measurements for ingredients used in Chaat masala recipe given in
terms of "CUPS" n "SPOON".
I am finding it difficult as CUPS sizer may vary from house to house.

So, I request you to simplify this, and give measurements in terms of " SPOON".

Taha, whether it is cups or spoons, you should buy a set of measuring spoons and cups, which are readily available in crockery stores. The plastic ones are very economical. Even the spoon used should be a measuring spoon and not one from your kitchen as they vary.

I tried to cook safed vatana in electric pressure cooker after soaking them for about 10 hours as the recipe said. However it took 20 minutes for them to cook . What did I do wrong?

Alka, Kabuli chana and vatana do take long to cook. Kabuli chana also takes about 15 minutes to cook soft. Did you put soda in it while soaking? In any case once the pressure jiggles you must keep it at the lowest flame so it does not keep 'whistling'.
