Here are some suggestions. I think either matar kulcha or pav bhaji should be fine, as both have a bread like accompaniment.

Spring Rolls or samosas
Noodles
Poori and aloo
Small gulab jamuns
Pakoras or Aloo Bonda
Small idlis with chutney and sambhar
Wafers or finger chips

Cake
Small Rasgullas and Gulab Jamuns (kids love these)
Cookies (if you want 3 sweet items)
Sandwiches or Hot Dogs
Pakoras or Aloo Bonda
Small idlis with chutney and sambhar
Wafers or finger chips

Quick stock (vegetarian)

makes about 5 cups
1 medium (1/2 cup) finely chopped onions
2 tbsp (30 gm ) oil
6 cups water
A dash of powdered black pepper
1 tsp salt
4 tbsp chopped celery (including leaves) or 1 tsp dried celery
1 tej patta (bay leaf)
2 laung (cloves)
2 sabut kali mirch (peppercorns)
1 tsp salt
4 cups (roughly chopped) mixed vegetables

Method
Sauté the onions in the oil, till alight brown, and then add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil, and then simmer for about 1 hour, or 10 mins. in a pressure cooker, after the hissing sound starts.
Strain and use. In case you do not want a brown stock, add the rest of the ingredients before the onions start to brown. A substitute is to add a vegetarian soup cube + 1 cup water.

Greetings maam,
Please tell me what can be used instead of cream cheese or if it can be made at home?
Also, is 'cheena' same as paneer?
Thanks,
Anju

You can substitute hung curd for cream cheese.
Yes Chhaina is same as paneer
