A lot depends on the number of people and what kind of a party. It is difficult to suggest at random. I suggest you go to the NDTV site and look for their party menu section. If you have any thing specific in mind and number of people (veg and nveg), then you can write to me.
Doughnuts
Makes 3 doz.
Refined flour (Maida) 3 ½ cups
Salt 1 tsp
Baking powder 5 tsp
Cinnamon (dalchini) 1 tsp, powdered
Nutmeg (Jaiphal) ½ tsp, powdered
Butter 2 tbsp
Sugar ¾ cup
Eggs, beaten well 2
Milk ¾ cup
Oil/ghee to deep fry
Method
1. Sift maida with salt, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg and keep aside.
2. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well.
3. Add milk and maida and mix into a dough like consistency.
4. Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface to ½” thickness.
5. Cut with floured doughnut cutter and let stand for 15 minutes.
6. Heat oil and add the doughnuts to it over high heat. Turn immediately and lower heat to medium and fry till brown.
7. Drain on absorbent paper and serve.
