My suggestion:
Aloo Dahiwale or Aloo Rasedaar
Kootu ki Poorie or Parantha
Chawal ka Dhokla
Paapri Chaat
Hariyali Paneer
Malpua or Chawal ki Kheer

All these are on my site under Vrat ka Khaana

Maam,
I have plenty of cake recipes using maida.
I wish to know whether one can use atta instead of maida and still follow the same recipe?
What changes would have to be made for it? or can we go in for 50 % of each?
What would be the changes in rest of the ingredients in such a case?
Thanks,
Anju

No change

Hello Maam,
Thanks for always helping me out.
One more question. . what is unsalted butter? Is it the same as white butter got from milk stores?. Can you suggest a brand? Can salted butter be used in its place? Will it affect the taste?
Thanks,
Anju

Yes even the one from milk store is fine. There is also a Vijaya Butter which is sometimes available. Using salted butter makes only a subtle difference in taste because of the salt.

Hello maam,
I would like to know how many eggs equals half a tin of milkmaid?
What can be used in place of eggs and milkmaid in making cakes?
Thanks,
Anju

Approximately 2 large eggs. You can substitute each egg with 1/4 cup milk + 1 tsp vinegar.
