Hi Mam. I want to just ask whether glass plate provided with the microwave oven should be removed while baking the cake in the tin or the tin should be kept on the glass. Thanx

It is usually oven proof, but I think you should read the manual or ask the manufacturers.

I WANT TO PURCHASE MICROVAVE FOR DAILY COOKING LIKE DAL,SABJI AND RICE. WE ARE THREE PERSON IN FAMILY. PLEASE SUGGEST ME WHAT TYPE OF MICROVAVE MAY I PURCHASE?

For this purpose you can get a simple microwave with a single mode. You do not have to have a dual mode.

hi Niru di,

i need few recipes for snacks for picnic. i have 2 year old twins and so prefer home food. also keeping warm will be an issue so kindly suggest :)

Name -paneer cream masala. This recipe is without onion and garlic

Recipe By : Sarika luthra

Serving : Serve hot with chapati

Cooking Time : 25-30 Minutes


Ingredients
Paneer - 250gm
Oil - 2tbsp
Milk - 1cup
Cream / malai - 1/2 cup
Ginger - 2tbsp finely chopped
Elaichi powder - 3-4 pieces ( take out the seeds from it and grind it to make a smooth powder)
Green chillies - 2 pieces finely chopped
Tomato puree - 2 cups
Garam masala - [ 1/2tsp cloves,black pepper,dalchinni grind them ]
Kasoori methi -2tsp
Paneer masala -2tsp
Salt - according to taste
Coriander powder - 2tsp
red chilli powder -1tsp
Saunf - 1/2tsp
orange colour - 2-3 pinches
Turmeric powder- 2-3 pinches


Preparation
1.Heat the oil in a large pan. Add the ginger, saunf and garam masala sauted it over medium flame till they began to splutter

2.Add tomato puree ,stir fry it till the oil seperates.

3.Add green chilles(1 piece chopped), salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder,red chilli powder, paneer masala and crushed kasoori methi(1tsp) saute it for 1minute

4.Put the milk and bring it to boil on a high flame

5. Add the cream(1/2 cup) stir for 2 minutes on a medium flame. At the time of boiling first add the orange colour and then add the remaining( green chillies and kasoori methi) and also elaichi powder.

6.Lastly garnish with grated paneer, cream and coriander leaves.

hello maam!!
i want to make vanilla sponge cake but instead of butter i want to use vegetable oil...can u please guide me as to what sholud be the quantity of oil if i want to make cake with 1 cup flour..

Whatever the recipe says for butter, use the same quantity of oil.
