Hello mam,

I have come across masacarpone cheese in some of your recipes. What is it n any substitute for this.
Query posted by : Ranjita on 22-May-2010

Mascarpone cheese is a light cream of the texture of whipped cream, almost. It is made of cow's milk and hails from Italy's Lombardy region. It is used in many ways, the most popular being the dessert called Tira Misu. You can substitute whipped cream for it.

done

Hello niru ji, I have a problem. Recently to give extra protein I have started using Soyabeans. what
i do is I soak one cup of beans which look like any other daal whole offwhite in color. It soaks for 8 hours and become oblong in size which i boil for 15 minutes. There after Ican eat them as chaat or a curry like we make channa .
But I grind it with four timeswater the dry beans and then boil itAfter boiling for 15 minutes I strain it and get milk which is used as milk for any purpose. The residue which is quite a bulk i make it as a dry vegetable like paneer bhurji..It is just good not so good.Ican also use it as liquid to make dough of regular aatta.
Now my question is should we use this residue or I am trying to be too stingy using every bit.
will u please try this on your own and get to me if I should continue doing so.My main concern is protein and thentaste too. I am hoping a reply. Thanks
regards

I dont think there shoud be any harm in using it. It just adds fibre which would be otherwise lost.
