Ingredients

Oven Temp: 375 F-180 C

Butter or Ghee ¼ cup (60 g)

White sesame seeds (Safed til), roasted ¼ cup

Sugar ½ cup (120 g)

Milk ¼ cup, mixed with

Vinegar 1 tsp
-
Whole wheat flour (Atta) 1 cup
-
Baking powder ½ tsp
-
Salt ¼ tsp
-
Jam or garnishes of choice to decorate (optional)

Preparation

Heat the 1tsp butter and the til and saute till a light brown. Keep aside.
Mix the butter, sugar and milk mixture. Add 1 tbsp of the browned til.
Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together. Add this to the butter mixture and mix well.
Shape dough into rounds or shapes of your choice. Coat with sesame seeds and place on an ungreased baking tray at least 1” apart.
Press with the base of a glass or any flat tool.
Bake in a pre-heated oven for about 15 minutes.
If garnishing, do so while still warm.
Serve or cool and store in an airtight jar.
