Waffles

A great dish for breakfast too

Type: Snacks Serving: 6-8

Ingredients

  • Eggs 2
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Baking soda ½ tsp
  • Baking powder ½ tsp
  • Yoghurt (Dahi) ½ cup (100 g)
  • Water ½ cup (120 g)
  • Butter, melted ¼ cup (60 g)
  • A waffle iron
 

Preparation

  • Mix the flour, salt, soda and baking powder.
  • Add the eggs, yoghurt, a little at a time to make a smooth paste. Now add water and mix into a smooth batter. Leave to rest in a cool place for 20-30 minutes.

  • Pour batter to cover the lower part of the pre-heated waffle iron, close shut and let it cook till brown (the batter stops sizzling).

  • Remove and serve hot accompanied with honey, or maple syrup or butter.
