Paneer Fingers

Long paneer pieces coated with sesame (til)

Type: Snacks Serving: 4-6 Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • Oven temp:400 F-204 œC
  • Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese), cut into 1 ½” cubes 500 g
  • Garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Ginger paste 2 tsp
  • Pissi kali mirch 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tbsp or to taste
  • Hara dhania (Coriander leaves), chopped 2 tbsp
  • Hari mirch (Green Chilli), chopped to taste
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Safed til (White Sesame seed), roasted ¼ cup, approx.
  • Oil to brush the paneer
  • Lemon wedges and onion rings for garnish
 

Preparation

  • Mix all the ingredients except the oil and garnishes and leave for 20-30 minutes at least.
  • Place the paneer on a drip pan and bake in the pre-heated oven for about 10mins.

  • Remove from oven, flip over, dab with oil and bake again for 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can grill on a griller or a barbecue pit.

  • Serve hot, garnished with lemon and onion rings.
