Papite ka Halwa

Ingredients

Raw papaya, peeled and grated 3 cups (500 g)

Sugar ¼ cup

Chhoti elaichi, slightly crushed 3-4

Ghee ¼ cup
-
Kishmish 2 –3 tbsp
-
Akhrot (Walnuts), chopped coarsely ¼ cup

Preparation

Place the papaya and sugar in a kadahi along with ¼ cup water.
Cook till papaya is tender, add the elaichi, stir a little more and keep aside.
Heat ghee and add the kishmish and akhrot, saute a little then take out a few for garnish.
Add the papaya mixture and stir fry till well mixed.
Serve hot, garnished with the rest of the kishmish and akhrot.
