Spaghetti Carbonara Sauce

Spaghetti in a smoky cream and egg based sauce |

Ingredients
|

Spaghetti 200g
-
Water 4 cups ]

Salt 1 tsp ] mixed together

Oil 1 tbsp ]

Butter 2 tbsp
-
Onions, chopped fine 2 tbsp
-
Bacon, rind removed and chopped ˝ cup (approx, 150 g before chopping)

Cream ˝ cup (120 g)
-
Eggs 2
-
Cheese, grated ˝ cup (60 g)

Salt ˝ tsp or to taste

Powdered black pepper 1/8 tsp

Preparation

Melt butter and add onions and bacon. Cook till onions are soft then keep aside.
Beat the eggs, half the cheese, salt, pepper and the cream together.
Bring the water mixture to a boil and cook the spaghetti in it till ‘bite-like’ .
Drain it out in a colander and while still hot mix into the warm bacon mixture.
Add the egg mixture to this immediately, mix to coat the spaghetti well, and serve garnished with the rest of the cheese.
