Grilled Mushroom and Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

Bread 8 slices, buttered on one side

Mushrooms, sliced 200 g (1 ½ cups)

Butter 1 tbsp

Onion, finely chopped ½ cup

Dhania (Coriander) powder ½ tsp

Salt ¾ tsp or to taste

Kali mirch (Black pepper) powder 1/8 tsp

Cheese, grated ¼ cup

A sandwich griller

Preparation

Melt the butter in a pan and add the onions. Sauté over high heat till a little soft.
Add the mushrooms, dhania, salt and kali mirch and stir over high heat till almost all the moisture has evaporated.
When cool, mix in the grated cheese. and use to fill the sandwiches.
To serve, switch on the griller.
Place a slice, buttered side down and heap some of the mushroom filling to cover.
Place the second slice over this, buttered side on top.
Place this sandwich on the griller, cover with the top plate of the griller and let the sandwich brown on both sides.
Serve hot, cut diagonally into two.
