Chopped onions and tomatoes in a yogurt sauce |

Ingredients

2 cups (400 g) dahi (yogurt)

2 tsp salt or to taste

¼ tsp kali mirch (powdered black pepper)

2 tsp roasted and powdered jeera (cumin seeds)

2 tbsp chopped hara dhania (coriander leaves)

2 tsp (or to taste) finely chopped green chillies
-
1 cup (200 g) onions, diced small
-
1 cup (200 g) tomatoes, de-seeded and diced small

¼ tsp chilli powder

Preparation

Beat the dahi till smooth, and add to it, the salt, kali mirch, 1 tsp of the jeera powder, 1 tbsp hara dhania, green chillies and mix well.
Mix in the onions and the tomatoes, transfer on to a serving bowl and garnish with the rest of the jeera powder, chilli powder and hara dhania, and serve chilled.
