Green Mango Raita
|
A cooling seasonal, tangy yogurt preparation |

Ingredients

Raw Mango, peeled and chopped fine 1 ½ cups

Cucumber, chopped fine 1 ½ cups

Salt 1 tbsp or to taste

Sugar 2 tsp or to taste

Hara Dhania (Coriander leaves) chopped ¼ cup

Bhuna pissa zeera (Roasted, ground cumin) 1 ½ tsp

Dahi (Yogurt), beaten smooth 3 cups (600g)

Oil 2 tbsp
-
Rai (Mustard seeds) 2 tsp
-
Kadhi patta (Curry leaves) 15-20

Green chilly, slit 2-3

Preparation

Mix the mango, cucumber, salt, sugar, dhania, zeera and dahi.
Transfer to a serving bowl and keep aside.
Heat oil, add rai, kadhi patta and hari mirch, saute a little, remove the green chillies and pour the mixture over the raita.
Chill, garnish with the green chillies and serve.
