Ingredients

Oil 2 tsp

Mustard seeds (Rai) 1 tsp

Garlic cloves 3-4 tbsp
-
Whole red pepper (Sabut lal Mirch) 4

Curry leaves (Kadhi patta) 5-6

Hot water 2 cups
-
Tamarind (Imli) paste 1 tbsp

Chilli powder ½ tsp or to taste

Salt 1 ½ tsp or to taste

Pepper corns (Sabut kali mirch) ½ tsp ]

Coriander seeds (Sabut dhania) 2 tsp ] dry roast and blend to a paste, adding water as required

Husked Bengal Gram (Channa daal ) 1 tsp ]

Cumin seeds (Zeera) 1 tsp ]

Curry leaves (Kadhi patta) 7-8 ]

Coriander leaves (Hara Dhania), chopped 2 tbsp

Preparation

Heat oil and add mustard seeds. When it splutters, add garlic cloves and saute till a light brown.
Add curry leaves and red peppers and saute a little. Add water, imli paste, chilli powder and salt.
Bring to a boil and add the paste and the hara dhania. Simmer for 3-4 minutes and serve.
