Stuffed rounds of mashed potatoes with a stuffing |

Ingredients

French Beans (Frans Bean), stringed and chopped fine 250 g

Oil 2 tbsp

Jeera (Cumin Seeds) 1 tsp

Ginger, chopped fine 1 tsp
-
Dhania (Coriander) powder 2 tsp
-
Garam masala ¼ tsp
-
Amchoor (Powdered dry mango) ½ tsp

Potatoes, boiled and peeled 500 g
-
Bread 1 slice
-
Salt 1 ½ tsp or to taste

Safed til (White sesame seeds) to coat, about ¼ cups

Oil for deep- frying

Preparation

Heat the oil and add jeera. When it splutters, add the ginger and saute till a light brown.
Add the beans, dhania, garam masala and ¾ tsp salt. Saute, till cooked through. Add amchoor and mix.
Grate the potatoes; along with the bread add the rest of the salt, the pepper and mash well till smooth.
Shape potato mixture into round walnut sized balls, flatten a little, fill with some of the beans’ filling and close into a ball again, using water if mixture sticks.
Roll balls into the til and keep aside, ready to fry.
Before serving heat the oil for deep- frying and fry to a light brown over high heat. Drain over absorbent paper, and serve hot.
